Wet Wrap Therapy: involves applying a moist layer of cotton or gauze to the affected area, followed by a dry layer, and keeping it on for a period of time. This method helps hydrate the skin, improve medication absorption, and reduce scratching, especially during eczema flares.
Our soothing wrap combines Epsom and Sea salts having a full range of minerals (magnesium, calcium, and potassium) with tapioca starch to slowly release comforting plant-extracts to help manage discomfort like itching or burning, as well as emollient oils for skin moisturization, and repair. Our wraps are microbiome-supporting to uphold the integrity of the skin barrier.
Salt wraps leverage the natural anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and skin-healing properties of salt to help reduce irritation (cleanse skin by drawing out toxins), create a mildly antimicrobial environment (prevent infections), improve skin hydration, and help repair a compromised skin barrier.
For the Bia eczema collection, we have clinical results that conclusively prove the significant treatment synergy of topical and supplements in repairing the gut and skin barriers, as well as alleviating itch.
Codex Labs combines modern biotech and genetic science to create authentic skin care products focused specifically on the hydration of my skin while retaining moisture as well as soothing my sensitive skin.
Salt soaks for eczema offer several benefits, including reducing inflammation, soothing itching, and helping to clean and disinfect irritated skin. The minerals in salt, such as magnesium and minerals from sea salt or Epsom salt, can promote skin healing and improve skin barrier function. Salt soaks may also draw out toxins and excess moisture, reduce bacterial overgrowth, and decrease the risk of secondary infections. Overall, they can provide relief from redness, swelling, and discomfort associated with eczema, supporting healthier and calmer skin.
